We continue to follow the directives communicated by our Government and Canada’s public health experts. As our Province has moved into stage 3 of the pandemic reopening plan, we have gradually begun to start offering in person services. In keeping with the recommendations for a safe reopening, we have implemented a range of precautions to ensure the wellbeing of all clients and therapists. 

Therapists remain available for past, present and new clients through in person, virtual therapy  as well as over the phone.

Grace North Psychotherapy is a growing private practice in Barrie Ontario. We provide evidence-based psychotherapy to children, youth and adults and specialize in maternal mental health. In addition, we also offer parent coaching, as well as consultation services to families and community partners.


We are currently seeking an experienced therapist with a Masters of Social Work to join our team at Grace North. This position is specific for a therapist who has passion and experience working with the perinatal and maternal mental health population.  

The therapist will be trauma-informed with a focus on delivering high-quality, evidenced based treatment.  


The position is offered as part-time with the flexibly to increase hours if desired, at pace that works for you. The candidate will be willing to offer some day/ evening and potentially weekend availability to best meet the needs of the community. Therapist must have technology to support virtual service. 



  • Master’s degree in Social Work

  • Membership in the Ontario Association of Social Workers in good standing 

  • Holds current and valid malpractice insurance 

  • Strong knowledge and experience in evidence-based therapy with children/youth and families 

  • 3-5 years experience working in a clinical setting 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills



  • Providing psychotherapy to woman and their families presenting with a range of challenges and concerns related to perinatal mental health 

  • Capacity to provide in person and online psychotherapy 

  • Maintain notes and other records in accordance with relevant college standards and legislation

  • Communicate with other professionals as needed in providing service to clients

  • Adhere to Social Work values and code of ethics 

  • commitment to ongoing professional development and personal self care
