Grace North Psychotherapy is a growing private practice in Barrie Ontario. We provide evidence-based psychotherapy to children, youth and adults. In addition, we also offer parent coaching and consultations to families and community partners.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced therapist with a Masters of Social Work to join our team at Grace North. We currently have positions for an individual therapist working with children and youth as well as an experienced therapist working with couples. 

The therapist will be trauma-informed with a focus on delivering high-quality, evidenced based treatment.  

 

The position is offered as part-time with the flexibly to increase hours if desired, at a pace that works for you. The candidate will be willing to offer some day/ evening and potentially weekend availability to best meet the needs of the community. Therapist must have technology to support virtual service. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Social Work

  • Membership in the Ontario Association of Social Workers in good standing 

  • Holds current and valid malpractice insurance 

  • Strong knowledge and experience in evidence-based therapy with adults and couples

  • Specific training in EFT and/or Gottman Method (for couples therapist)

  • 3-5 years experience working in a clinical setting 

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

 

Responsibilities:

  • Providing psychotherapy to adults and couples with a variety of presenting issues

  • Capacity to provide in person and online psychotherapy 

  • Maintain notes and other records in accordance with relevant college standards and legislation

  • Communicate with other professionals as needed in providing service to clients

  • Adhere to Social Work values and code of ethics 

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and personal self care
