Grace North Psychotherapy is a growing private practice in Barrie Ontario serving children, youth, individuals and families to support them in making positive changes in their lives. We provide evidence-based psychotherapy, parent coaching, as well as consultation services to families and community partners.
We are currently expanding to meet the growing needs of our community and have created an opening for an Associate Clinician to provide Clinical Social Work to individuals (children, youth, adults) and families.
The position is suitable for an experienced trauma-informed clinician who is passionate about helping others. This clinician has a sound knowledge of psychotherapy, with a focus on delivering high-quality, evidenced based treatment such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused and Narrative Therapy.
The position is offered as part-time with the flexibly to increase hours if desired, at pace that works for you. The candidate will be willing to offer some day/ evening and potentially weekend availability to best meet the needs of the community.
Master’s degree in Social Work
Membership in the Ontario Association of Social Workers in good standing
Holds current and valid malpractice insurance
Strong knowledge and experience in evidence-based therapy with children and families and/or adults
3-5 years experience working in a therapeutic setting
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Providing psychotherapy to children/youth/families and individuals presenting with a range of challenges and concerns
Maintain notes and other records in accordance with relevant college standards and legislation
Communicate with other professionals as needed in providing service to clients
